Mumford & Sons’ “Whispers In The Dark” Video: Watch The Split-Screen Clip

We’re not mad at a little Mumford & Sons, even if it isn’t always our beat — but the rootsy alt-rock set just dropped a video for their single “Whispers In the Dark,” and not only is it one of their cleverest clips yet, it features a little help from our beloved L.A. pop trio HAIM, who recently toured with the Mumford crew. (As you’ll recall, Marcus Mumford called the girls “the fuckin’ best band in the world,” so it appears the appreciation is mutual.)

And what goes down in the “Whispers” vid? A slick split-screen visual trails the dudes through various sequences until — surprise! — they all meet up to head out on stage , but it’s the evocative look of each shot that makes it work so well. And also, did we mention the cameo from HAIM?

Watch up top.
