Katy Perry Is Writing An Autobiography, Maybe

Stop the presses! Actually, start them. Katy Perry is rumored to be writing an autobiography, titled — you’ll never guess! — Part of Me, just like her concert film last year, so at least there doesn’t seem to be much progression on the “brand identity” front.

The Sun (not the most reliable source in the world, as far as we’re concerned, but oh well — it seems plausible, doesn’t it?) says that Perry has signed a £2million (that’s $3.2 million in USD, depending on the ever-fluctuating conditions of the global marketplace that people like Katy Perry are too rich to be worried about) deal for her autobiography, which will cover “her life so far, including marriage and divorce from comic [Russell Brand].”

Reportedly, she’ll also talk about her new relationship with John Mayer, which seems suspect, because — really? You want that in print forever? Alright, Katy. It’s your life.

A source said that publishers have been courting the songstress for awhile, but she only decided to forge ahead with it out of fear that Brand would publish another book and talk openly about their relationship, which is — well, okay, sure, The SunPart of Me: The Book. Let us know when we can pre-order!
