Keyshia Cole Calls Beyonce “Self Righteous” Over “Bow Down,” Suffers Brutal Stan Assault
Oh, Keyshia Cole. The R&B songstress got on the wrong side of the BeyHive, Beyonce‘s army of loyal superfans, yesterday when she fired shots at Bey for the lyrical content of her new buzz track “Bow Down.”
The trouble started when Cole took to Twitter to express her frustration over what she described as Beyonce’s hypocrisy in previously celebrating female empowerment, then asking bitches to bow down. (Actually, that sounds pretty legitimate, doesn’t it?)
As she tweeted:
Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk shit when convenient 2 FOH

She has a point, right? But unsurprisingly, this didn’t go over so well with Beyonce’s fans — just take a look through Keyshia Cole’s mentions on Twitter to see the types of messages being sent her way by the BeyHive. (Note that they tend to focus on her dubious relevance/the likelihood that she will end up working at a Wal-Mart, which doesn’t totally add up, given that Keri Hilson is the one who performed in a Wal-Mart parking lot, but hey, it can be tough to keep that kind of thing straight.)
Lesson learned: Apparently we have to bow down not only for Beyonce, but for her fans, too.
