Beyonce Posts Handwritten Note In Support Of Marriage Equality

In the increasingly polarized battle for marriage equality, we’ve been waiting breathlessly for the most important political voice of our time to rise up and speak her truth: Beyonce, a singer, occasional taxi driver and grown-ass-woman who is also the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court of Our Dreams.

Last night, she finally broke her silence to post a handwritten note to her Instagram, managing to be both generous with her hallowed insights and also a little bit self-aggrandizing and self-referential in that way that Beyonce always does best.

Yes, it came down from on high: King Bey supports marriage equality. Surprise! (Not actually surprising at all.) “If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it,” she scrawled on a piece of red stationery, stationery that probably cost more than your house. “#wewill unite 4 marriage equality!” (Or maybe it’s #wewillunite4marriageequality. Not entirely certain.) At any rate, while someone should probably advise Beyonce that except as a stylistic flourish there’s little use in a handwritten hashtag, it’s certainly nice for the celebrated superstar to lend her support to the cause.

When reached for comment, Antonin Scalia said, “Lol, nvm, wrong about everything #dumb. Tx Bey. #wise #grown”
