Snoop Lion, Drake & Snoop Lion’s Daughter Pull No Punches In “No Guns Allowed” Video: Watch

Snoop Lion, Drake and Snoop’s daughter Cori B team up for the “No Guns Allowed” video, and it is a heartwrenching one, folks. Splicing together video and audio from the recent spate of mass shootings in America and elsewhere, the clip spares no emotions as Snoop insists, “We don’t want to see no more youth dead.”

It’s really quite endearing how Snoop has transformed into this weed-fueled proponent of peace. It’s also kind of surreal, because he’s still appearing on a bunch of hip-hop tracks as Snoop Dogg alongside the usual sex and violence tropes. Still, it’s an interesting little path he has decided to take. (Interesting in a good way. For interesting in a bad way, see: his decision to wear an iced-out grill in this video while singing about the ills of materialism.) The music released thus far from Reincarnated (out April 23) may not be particularly exciting or memorable, but we like the motivations behind it.

The album was executive produced by Diplo, and in addition to Drake, it features guest spots from T.I., Akon, Chris Brown and Rita Ora.
