Miguel Joined By J. Cole For First-Ever Live “Power Trip” Performance: Watch
Last night (April 5), J. Cole dropped in on Miguel‘s Barclays Center performance in Brooklyn so the two of them could perform Cole’s new single “Power Trip” live for the first time. The rapper was calm but engaging, while Miguel leaped into action and even chimed in on the rapper’s lyrics.
J. Cole first worked with Miguel three years ago, when he dropped two verses on the R&B singer’s 2010 single “All I Want Is You.” Fun fact, courtesy of Billboard: As Cole wrapped up “Power Trip,” Jay-Z suggested he hit up Miguel to see whether he could lend his singing chops to the hook.
While Miguel is currently touring with Alicia Keys and prepping his next round of Art Dealer Chic EPs, J. Cole plans to drop his sophomore album, Born Sinner , later this spring.
