Joe Jonas Responds To Fan Asking Him Out On YouTube: Watch
Shaina Kohli, Pepperdine University senior, wanted a date to her last-ever college formal. More specifically, she wanted Joe Jonas. So, she took to YouTube to ask him out. In a clip she interviewed friends and colleagues, asking why Jonas should say yes. “Because you’re brave,” one said. “Because you’re really good at basketball,” another said. (Cut to a shot of Kohli, dribbling on a tennis court.)
Kohli posted that video on April 2, a mere 11 days before her formal. On April 11, the Jonas Brothers sibling responded with a video set to George Michael‘s “Careless Whisper,” and with at least three costume changes, including a Wonder Bread-sponsored race car driver uniform and shirtless with a blazer. While he said he couldn’t make it to Kohli’s formal, he ended up inviting her to a future Jonas Brothers concert.
