Fall Out Boy Perform “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” On ‘Conan’: Watch
Fall Out Boy‘s new album Save Rock and Roll may (ironically) set out to do just that, but in the band’s performance last night on Conan, they paid tribute to another ironic rock group of yesteryear — the fictional act Spinal Tap, of iconic mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap fame. The group have enough stage presence and energetic pomp to make any performance of “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” worth watching, but the Spinal Tap element made it extra-great: Pete Wentz spent the first part of the song trapped in a pod, like Derek Smalls in the film — and, lo and behold, Harry Shearer (who played that character) was on stage tearing it up, too.
