This morning brought news that Katy Perry superproducer Dr. Luke and his company Prescription Songs were teaming up with Big Machine Music’s Scott Borchetta (best known as the dude who helped make Taylor Swift happen) on a joint venture to co-publish pop-country artists, and now the new partnership have announced their first signee.

Freshly signed to their new venture is The Voice veteran RaeLynnwhose distinctive voice and country-pop stylings made her a standout during her season.

As Billboard reports, Borchetta called her a prolific writer, predicting that she “has a true writer career and a true artist career.” Luke agreed: “She’s writing songs that significant artists are responding to and having an interest in,” he said. “In the future I predict she will have major cuts as a songwriter.”

RaeLynn is just beginning work on her debut album, noting that she’d written a song with Kool Kojak (who’s penned hits for One Direction and Nicki Minaj) titled “Taco Bell and Tiffany’s,” which certainly bodes well. Radio is ready for you, RaeLynn.
