We’ve heard the intriguingly dystopic snippet of Beyonce and Andre 3000‘s cover of Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” which appears on The Great Gatsby soundtrack. And now we’ve heard the response from Winehouse’s outspoken father — and he is not a fan. “I don’t think [Beyonce] brings anything to it,” Mitch Winehouse told the Daily Mail.

He also claimed that nobody asked him for permission to record the song, but he has since agreed to let them do the cover — for a price. “They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.” Previously, the 100,000 pound figure was thrown around regarding the rights.

Do you think the cover will be worth the apparently hefty price? Let us know in the comments below, or on Twitter or Facebook.
