Sky Ferreira Has Actually Finished Her Album This Time, Seriously

Alt-pop chanteuse Sky Ferreira has finally — finally! — finished her album, according to an Instagram she posted yesterday, proudly showing off the cover artwork for the upcoming LP. (No, just kidding, it’s just a picture of the actual disc with the text “ALBUM Final” scrawled on it.) “It’s finished,” she wrote simply, tagging producers Ariel Rechtshaid, Jon Brion and Blake Mills (all of whom also worked on her 2012 EP Ghost) in the tweet.

Responded the world, “Wait, really?” and “Are you sure?” and “When is it coming out, though?” and “Is this actually happening?” and “Please, let this be real” and “Seriously, you guys, I can’t take any more disappointment today.”

The album, tentatively titled I’m Not Alright and due out sometime eventually hopefully on Capitol Records, will feature collaborations from the aforementioned (we have to assume that much, right?), plus probably (hopefully?) Greg Kurstin and maybe some other people, too? It’s kind of hard to say at this point.

Below, please find video of us talking to Sky Ferreira about her album.
