:: One Direction apparently got their hands on a retro VW van and are making it into a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine replica for their US tour. It’ll be tricked out with £70,000 worth of upgrades (including a flatscreen TV) but obviously they’re just doing it to get some Beatles Magical Mystery Tour comparisons. [The Mirror]

:: Beyonce‘s new album is on the way, according to Bey’s friend and everyone’s life coach Gwyneth Paltrow. Goop promised the album is “almost done” and says, “I’ve heard a lot, lot, lot of many songs. I don’t know which ones have ended up on the album, but I’ve heard a lot.” [Digital Spy]

:: Boston native and Idolator fave JoJo performed with (Tufts University graduates) Timeflies last week at Boston’s House of Blues, raising $13,000 for victims of the marathon bombing. Timeflies also brought a few first responders on stage for a “Boston Strong Freestyle.” [YouTube]
