It was the return of the mentors on Tuesday’s (May 14) episode of The Voice! Season 2’s Robin Thicke returned, along with current season mentors Hillary Scott (along with the rest of Lady Antebellum) and Pharrell Williams. The three wise ones — not to mention coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine — performed with the final twelve contestants, while Shakira and Usher kept busy by looking hot on the sidelines.

Despite the fact that every single performance from Monday’s show charted on iTunes, the dreams of two hopefuls do need to be dashed on live television to keep this ball rolling. But before the chopping block, check out these performances!

Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I. kick off the night with “Blurred Lines.” Team Usher’s Vedo and Team Shakira’s Kris Thomas join, but are kept as far in the back corner of the stage as possible. Wouldn’t want to get in the way of the back-up models, right? Unlike in the “Blurred Lines” video, said models were allowed to wear some clothing, so mark it as a pretty big day for the women’s movement.

Blake Shelton performs Brooks & Dunn’s “Play Something Country” with his team of aspiring country stars. The Blake, Danielle Bradbery, Holly Tucker and Swon Brothers combination has some real potential. They should take the show on the road! Maybe they can open up for Idols Live?

Lady Antebellum are up next, joined by Team Adam’s Judith Hill, Amber Carrington and Sarah Simmons. Unlike Vedo and Kris Thomas in “Blurred Lines,” these ladies get right in there with the band to sing “Goodbye Town.” Based on the performance, Judith and Sarah have country chops they should break out later this season!

Adam Levine and his team perform The Cure’s “Lovesong” and give off a 311 vibe while doing it. Adam and the ladies just exude talent, and if the frontman is ever looking for a career move, this Levine 4 could be the next Maroon 5.

If you were worried about Rapunzel up there in her tower/Sprint Sky Box, Christina Milian is still alive and well, but appears to be getting ditzier. Maybe it’s the air quality (or secret open bar) in the Sprit Sky Box, or perhaps social media really can kill your brain cells. Either way, it’s only the beginning when she responds to Carson’s “Over to Christina Milian,” with “I’m great, Carson!” Watch out for that one and heavy machinery.

Speaking of career downfalls, it’s time to find out who gets sent home! Here are the results, straight from Carson Daly himself:

See you next week! Team Shakira: Kris Thomas and Sasha Allen Team Blake: The Swon Brothers, Danielle Bradbery and Holly Tucker Team Adam: Sarah Simmons, Judith Hill and Amber Carrington Team Usher: Josiah Hawley and Michelle Chamuel

See you never! Team Usher: Vedo Team Shakira: Garrett Gardner

That leaves both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine’s teams fully intact going into next week, with both Usher and Shakira down a man. The mentors return to their advisory roles next week to whip the Top 10 back into shape! If you haven’t been following Joel Madden’s illustrious career, he’s on the other side of the world coaching The Voice Australia, so he’ll be unable to make it. Never fear, though: Cee Lo returns to save the day! No stranger to the high pressure live rounds, former coach Cee Lo will be filling in for Madden when The Voice picks up on Monday! Lady Bird and Purrfect have yet to confirm their involvement.

So what do you think about the results? Any big surprises?
