Quadron’s Coco O.: 7 Things To Know About Her New Album ‘Avalanche’

Quadron‘s “Hey Love” is an early contender for song of the summer: The humming, infectious soul-inflected number is light, blithe and totally irresistible. (The video, too, is just absurdly likable.)

But the Danish duo — comprised of vocalist Coco O. (born Coco Maja Hastrup Karshøj) and producer Robin Hannibal, who is also in the band Rhye — are a more complex act than that song’s featherweight charms would suggest, as we learned when Coco dropped by Idolator headquarters to chat about the band’s upcoming album, Avalanche

In discussing how her heritage influences her music, the ebullience of “Hey Love” and a very exciting collaboration on the LP with Kendrick Lamar, Coco cemented our infatuation with Quadron’s sound. It’s one avalanche that we’d have no problem getting buried in.

Watch up top.
