Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’: Here Is The Official Cover Artwork, Which Is Basically No Artwork

UPDATE: That is, in fact, the official album artwork. And if you go to Kanye West’s website and hover your mouse over the album, you can hear a sample-heavy snippet of what is, according to Stereogum, his new song “Bound.” And it sounds a lot like his old material! That Kanye, always keeps us guessing.

ORIGINAL POST: Are you sick of hearing about the artwork for Yeezus? Well too bad! It’s the only bit of information about Kanye West‘s forthcoming album that has made it to the outside world since the rapper dropped “Black Skinhead” on SNL a couple weeks ago. And we’ll take what we can get.

Anyway, up top is the official artwork (or lack thereof) for Yeezus, according to BBC’s DJ Semtex. Just an old-school jewel CD case and a sticker with the title and tracklist on the back. This version of the album art is consistent with the version depicted on the flyer announcing the LP would not be available for pre-order. No idea where the melted gold and Y-crucifixion covers originated, but it would appear those are bunk.
