Elton John Preps New Album ‘The Diving Board’ In September
Elton John is ready to make a grand comeback with his upcoming 30th (wow!) studio album The Diving Board. The record, which is his first solo record in seven years, will be released on September 16. John has been working on the album since 2012, but kept it aside as he promoted other projects.
He previewed the album back in February at a small listening party, which features previous collaborators T-Bone Burnett and longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin. John also released a mini black-and-white trailer for The Diving Board, where he muses: “What kind of music do I really want to make? I have to go back to go forward again.”
