Janelle Monae‘s The Electric Lady is set to land on Earth September 10. The singer revealed the release date via Instagram video today (sorry Vine), and she also dropped new album cut “Dance Apocalyptic.” Despite the Gaga-esque title, it’s a sunny number, with cheeky lyrics that interpolate Juicy J‘s “Bandz A Make Her Dance” and address signs of the impending End Times (ya know, things like bomb threats, or food tasting like plastic).

In other exciting Janelle news, the singer has been added to Sunday’s already-stacked BET Awards. And, she’ll premiere the “Dance Apocalyptic” music video on Tuesday (July 2). Head below to hear the peppy new track and to watch a teaser of the music video.
