Ciara Is On Track To Double The Sales Of Her Last Album

Ciara will be beaming tonight with news that her self-titled album is on track to almost double the first-week sales tally of 2010’s Basic Instinct. According to Hits Daily Double, Ciara is predicted to sell between 55,000 and 65,000 copies this week — a significant increase on the disappointing 37,000 CDs she shifted three years ago. That should be enough for a top 3 debut on the Billboard Hot 200. Again, a vast improvement on her last album’s number 44 chart peak.

What better way to celebrate?

A first-week sales tally of 65,000 copies would equal the recent debut of Kelly Rowland‘s Talk A Good Game, which underlines CiCi’s return to the R&B-elite. It’s particularly impressive when you consider that Instagram sex symbol hasn’t had a huge lead single to spearhead her campaign. With “I’m Out” being serviced to radio and the brilliant “Livin’ It Up” destined for big things, the rehabilitation of Ciara would seem to be complete.
