Lady Gaga To Perform In London’s iTunes Festival For First Show In Seven Months

Highly credible (read: frequently dubious) English tabloid The Sun is reporting that Lady Gaga will be joining a high-profile roster of already announced acts at the iTunes Festival in London in September. The comeback performance would be Gaga’s first in seven months since her hip surgery sidelined her Born This Way Ball — and it would provide her with an opportunity to showcase tracks from The Greatest Album Of All Time Even If Nobody’s Heard It Yet, ARTPOP.

As an “insider” explains: “The gig in Camden has a huge budget and is likely to be the first anyone sees or hears of her album. The Haus Of Gaga team have been working in secret on costumes and stage sets for the show from their base in Paris.” And wait, there’s more! “Gaga’s dancers have also been rehearsing but she’s only told her closest friends about the new direction she’s taking,” the insider continues. “The music is going to be a big departure and Gaga’s dreamed up a whole new image for the album.”

Reportedly, they’re projecting ARTPOP-sized expenses for the show, too: The Sun cites the production budget as £500,000, or $754,200 in “real money.”

As promising as this all sounds, I’ll wait for an official confirmation for Gaga before booking my ticket.
