So at this point it’s no secret that I have a huge crush on the great Bonnie McKee, songwriter to the stars-turned-rising pop superstar in her own right — but while her latest song “American Girl” continues to burn up my summer playlist, I’m perhaps even more dazzled by this recently-unveiled video of McKee at the keyboard singing a medley of hits she’s written for, like, everyone else.

Starting off with Britney Spears‘ “Hold It Against Me” and continuing through a laundry list of smashes by Katy Perry (there’s several), Taio Cruz and Ke$ha, it works for a number of reasons: Not only do the songs flow together gorgeously and it’s a chill-inducing reminder of her talent as a songwriter, she sounds nothing short of extraordinary singing them — like, her best vocals ever.

For sheer hooks-per-second density, it’s probably the most impressive thing anyone’s seen yet from McKee, but something tells me that won’t be the case for long.

Watch up top.
