Sky Ferreira’s Album Pushed Back To 2014 (But There’s A New EP Coming)

Sky Ferreira looks absolutely stunning in the UK edition of GQ this month — there literally isn’t a thing about it that’s embarrassing. Aside from the ultra-chic photo spread, though, she also gave a revealing interview, with bracing candor and withering wit on full display. Aside from a few choice quotes (“I am moody but not in interviews,” she says of her frequently-maligned disposition) and an affinity for Lou Bega and Natalie Imbruglia (see, this is why I love Sky Ferreira), the main takeaway from the interview is that her debut album has been pushed back again. (The main takeaway is also that Sky Ferreira is amazing, so go and read the whole thing.)

But yes, the top copy reveals that her first LP, I Will, which was originally scheduled for release in 1972, is now tipped to drop in 2014. Twenty. Fourteen. 2. 0. 1. 4. Just take that in.

Here’s the good news: Apparently there’s a new EP coming in September, so hey — at least that’s something.
