After dropping “New Chains,” his remix of Kanye West‘s “New Slaves,” Hit-Boy takes on a track from The Throne’s other half, with Jay-Z‘s “Somewhere In America” (off Magna Carta Holy Grail). Hit-Boy produced the MCHG track, so there’s no doubt he already had some verses in mind. The producer-rapper boasts about his growing musical status and trips around the world on the remix, and can you really blame him? This is the guy who brought us “Niggas In Paris,” “Clique” and “Backseat Freestyle,” after all. So when he talks about striving for legendary status, he’s certainly off to a great start.

Hit-Boy also got Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh on the track, and the MMG MC brings his laid-back flow as well as his twist on the now-infamous Miley Cyrus line from the original, spitting “Somewhere in America, Amanda Bynes is still smoking.”
