Bastille — or BΔSTILLE if you want to be really fancy — is a four-piece band that needs to be on your alt-pop radar. The Brits are exploding internationally and could well do the same over here with future smash “Pompeii”, which features on their new Haunt EP.

Few tracks grab your attention as ruthlessly as this sprawling, chant-filled gem. The chorus is as grandiose as the titular city (before its ruin!) and Dan Smith has one of those voices that could make singing the phone book sound atmospheric. See the suitably gloomy clip and the band’s US tour dates after the jump.
