Dragonette Drops Bangin’ “My Legs” Remix EP: Listen To Our Exclusive Stream

Dragonette has been on the cutting edge of electronic music for the best part of a decade — dropping cleverly constructed synth-pop gems at will since 2005. The time has come for Martina and the boys to help nurture the next wave of electro-wizards and they happily obliged by running a remix competition on dance music bible Beatport. Entrants were tasked with revamping Body Parts highlight “My Legs”, with the winner getting an official release on the band’s label.

After receiving an overwhelming 600+ entries, Fed Conti was crowned remix king but the quality of submissions was so good Dragonette decided to collate the best re-imaginings of “My Legs” on an EP. The Canadian synth-experts have chosen wisely indeed. Conti’s mix is a bone-rattling call to the dancefloor, while Milk N Cookies focus on Martina’s gorgeous vocal. Eric Jadi, on the other hand, takes the party jam back to basics. Listen to an exclusive stream of the EP after the jump.

Dragonette’s “My Legs” Remix EP is released digitally on August 6. The band is also running a Vine competition. To enter, simply come up with something creative and hashtag your video with #mylegs for the chance to win prizes including CDs and vinyl. Also feel free to down a mash of the various remixes from here and make sure to pre-order the EP here.
