Lady Gaga earlier today (July 31) tweeted “give me that thing that I love put your hands up make ’em touch A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E,” which we’re assuming are lyrics from ARTPOP‘s lead single “Applause,” before launching into a string of informative tweets regarding the new LP and its accompanying app. But before we get to the boring app-specific stuff, we have to point out that Gaga also announced that the “Applause” video will premiere on August 19, the same day the song debuts.

Gaga revealed that a skeleton version of the ARTPOP app will be available on Apple and Android devices for free beginning August 19, and that once the album drops on November 11, it will allow users to socialize and interact. Also, the album will be available for physical purchase, for you Luddites who aren’t satisfied with what Gaga is calling the “interactive jewel case.”
