Annie’s “Back Together” Video: Watch the Trippy, ’90s-Referencing Clip
Oh, Annie. The Norwegian electropop songstress is making major waves with the release of her more-or-less flawless The A&R EP, and she’s just unveiled the video for her lead single “Back Together,” penned by Little Boots and produced by the consistently amazing Richard X.
The video is quintessentially Annie, in that it’s a little offbeat, hypnotic and brilliantly executed — featuring the singer against a series of brightly colored backgrounds in a sort of half-homage to The Chart Show and other music countdown programs, complete with trivia facts across the screen. (Also, pay close attention for a little snippet of a Girls Aloud single in the beginning — great pop x great pop, as it were.)
