Nelly & Pharrell Smirk, Nicki Minaj Twerks In “Get Like Me” Video: Watch
We were already sold when we saw Nicki Minaj ferociously twerking in a clip from the set of the “Get Like Me” video shoot, and the video for Nelly‘s collaboration with Minaj and Pharrell doesn’t disappoint on the booty front. Sure, there may not be as much Nicki twerkitude as we had hoped from the teaser, but there is a butt bongo.
The black-and-white clip (that’s how you know it’s classy!) is equal parts “Mo Money Mo Problems” fish-eye lens strutting and the too-cool posturing of “Blurred Lines,” with some flashy visual literalism thrown in. In case you couldn’t tell, there’s a lot more going on in the video than there is in the minimalist song. Watch it up top.
