Azealia Banks Cancels Summer Festival Appearances Due To Throat Infection
Poor Azealia Banks! The sweet-tempered rapstress and Friend To The Gays has come down with a throat infection that’s going to keep her from performing at two scheduled festivals this weekend — Chicago’s Lollapalooza and Montreal’s Osheaga. Boo!
As Billboard helpfully notes, Banks has a track record of ditching festivals at the last minute; the same thing happened last year with a slew of scheduled European summer appearances because, as she said: “They were all prematurely booked by my old management without any consideration for me and the album I need to finish!” Given that, it seems noteworthy that Broke With Expensive Taste has yet to be released.
