Charli XCX Cancels Fall Tour Dates, Promises Music “Sooner”
Alt-pop goddess and fan of crashing her car into a bridge Charli XCX had a busy tour schedule lined up for the summer — in fact, I talked with her about it when I saw her at Bonnaroo in June — but alas, the schedule proved to be too much for even her.
The chanteuse has canned previously scheduled European tour dates in late October and early November because, as she explains, she’s heading back into the studio to work on some new music. Notably, these aren’t sessions for other artists — which is where she’s put much of her emphasis as of late — but her own music. As she herself explains, “This way you will hear new music much sooner…” (The ellipsis is hers, and it just feels nice, doesn’t it? Like it’s a promise of great things to come.)
See her tweets below.
