Katy Perry’s “Roar” Single Cover: See Her Wild Art
KatyCats of the UK, though you won’t get Katy Perry‘s new single “Roar” until September 8 — a good three weeks after its American release date (August 12) — you’re now at least privy to an iTunes pre-order of the forthcoming first taste of Prism, complete with cover art. (This comes a day after the latest video tease of the Max Martin/Dr. Luke production, which features about a split-second of actual music.)
Perry tweeted out the UK iTunes pre-order link on Thursday (August 8) afternoon, featuring a reveal of straight-up 1987 “Roar” imagery. In it, Katy’s wearing what looks like some lost track jacket from the days when Samantha Fox and Def Leppard were a thing. Not quite sure about the tiger iron-on or the teenage Winona Ryder hair, but, you know — roar.
