Avril Lavigne Unveils Moody Self-Titled Album Cover

Oh boy! There’s a new Avril Lavigne album cover in town, and it’s as moody as she is. For her fifth studio album, now titled simply Avril Lavigne (probably because it’s her most authentic record to date — just a guess!), the songstress went ultra-simple on the visual campaign. Just a profile shot of her face, super-washed-out, with her hair back, eyes open wide, and smeared black eye makeup.

She looks haunting! Ghostlike! Totally punk-rock! Get it, Avril. Get it done.

Avril Lavigne drops September 24 and is led by singles “Here’s To Never Growing Up” and “Rock N Roll” (as well as the jaw-droppingly great “17”), so expect it to be totally awesome.
