Kanye West Avoids Felony Charge After Paparazzi Altercation
The L.A. County District Attorney’s office will not file felony charges against Kanye West for his role in a physical altercation with a paparazzo last month at Los Angeles International Airport. Prosecutors say the photog involved in the incident didn’t suffer any significant injuries and it was unclear whether his camera was damaged. (As we pointed out from the beginning, the human-shaped worm photographer involved was smiling the whole time, and has a history of goading celebs so he can profit from it.)
There remains a possibility West could face misdemeanor charges after the D.A.’s office referred the case to the city attorney. This legal reprieve is the latest plot point in West’s ongoing struggle to contain his vitriol, both verbal and physical, when being stalked by paparazzi. And considering the first photos of West and Kim Kardashian‘s child North are trickling onto the gossip sites, Ye will likely be tested to keep his cool amidst impending paparazzi onslaughts.
