Iggy Azalea Gets It Absolutely Right On “Change Your Life”: Hear The Rap Diva’s Pop Crossover

Iggy Azalea described “Change Your Life” as “a big record” and she wasn’t lying. The Aussie femcee finally finds the sweet spot between rap, dance and pop on the latest single from her much-anticipated debut LP The New Classic. Previous cuts “Work” and “Bounce”, while brilliant in their own right, lacked the gigantic pop hook needed to conquer US airwaves. Well, that’s been rectified.

“Change Your Life” is the perfect calling card for Iggy. She tones down her adopted southern accent (an acquired taste), invites mentor T.I. to drop a blistering verse and — most importantly — delivers the catchiest half-sung/half-spoken chorus of her career. With a Blade Runner/Showgirlsinspired video on the way, this could be the track that lifts the rap diva from mixtape favorite to genuine contender. Wrap your ears around her future hit after jump.

Can Iggy beat Azealia Banks and Angel Haze in the race to the Hot 100 with this tune? Share your opinion in the comments below.
