Goodie Mob Visit Our Cee Lo Green Screen, Talk Reuniting For ‘Age Against The Machine’: Watch

Goodie Mob are back, with their first album since 1999 that features all four original members (Cee-Lo Green, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp), and the southern hip-hop OGs are ready to reclaim the bouncy crunk sound they helped define as part of the Dungeon Family. With Age Against The Machine (out August 27), the ATL crew picked up right where they left off, and if you can’t tell from LP’s title, they’re ready to drop knowledge as rap’s elders.

From their flamboyant outfits to Cee Lo’s weirdly charming emphysemic helium flow, the group has always aimed to keep listeners a little discombobulated. And if you’ve watched their completely bonkers, totally jarring, possibly brilliant new video for “I’m Set,” you know they’re still delivering on that front. So the G-Mo stopped by our studio recently and we plopped them in front of our Cee Lo Green Screen (get it?) for some chatter about the importance of throwing some interference into the airwaves and getting back together for their “digital masterpiece” of an album. The guys were hilarious, insightful and confusing all at the same time, and the result is one of our favorite interviews of the year.

Check it out up top.
