Ellie Goulding continues to flaunt her range in new song “Goodness Gracious,” a vibrant pop track co-written by fun.‘s Nate Ruess. As Goulding sings of her inability to let go, her lilting vocals underscore the fact that, no matter what, Ruess writes pop songs with biting specificity: “Calling it off, just to keep crawling to your arms.”

“Goodness Gracious” arrives after the moodier, Burns-produced cover of Midnight Star‘s “Midas Touch,” and her peppy single “Burn,” written by Ryan Tedder and produced by Greg Kurstin. All three songs appear on the 10-song Halcyon Days, out August 27 along with the 28-song Halcyon Days Deluxe.
