Katy Perry Channels Tarzan In Teaser For “Roar” Music Video: Watch
After fighting in out in the boxing ring for her first-ever live performance of “Roar” at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night (August 25) , Katy Perry visits the jungle for a teaser for the music video. The pop star donned a leopard print dress for the awards show red carpet, but that outfit is nothing compared to her Tarzan-inspired get-up in this clip.
It begins with shots of various jungle beasts like tigers, elephants and monkeys as the singer’s distant echoes are heard. Then Perry, wearing a leopard bra and a grass skirt, sweeps in on a vine and lets out a loud roar to let them know she’s queen of the jungle. The official video for “Roar” will be coming soon, while Katy Perry’s fourth album Prism is slated for an October 22 release.
