Dawn Richard Hits Up JoJo For Her “Valkyrie” Remix: Listen To Sultry R&B Tune
Dawn Richard marked the official return of Danity Kane at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards by posing on the red carpet with her former bandmates but the sassy R&B diva hasn’t given up on her own music. In fact, the talented 30-year-old just dropped two singles from forthcoming LP Blackheart. Today (August 27), she upped the ante even further by unveiling a remix of “Valkyrie” with comeback queen — fingers crossed! — JoJo.
Produced by Noisecastle III, the multi-layered tune is a haunting musical journey — made even more mysterious and memorable by the quirky remix. “This record is special in many ways,” Dawn revealed. “I wanted to do a collab with a female to show the essence of the record… it was only right to ask JoJo just because we are kindred spirits.”
