M.I.A. Previews New ‘Matangi’ Track “Come Walk With Me”: Listen To The Feel-Good Tune

M.I.A. is clearly frustrated with the November release date of new LP Matangi. Earlier today (August 29) the genre-bending femcee tweeted “days like this i wanna jus upload the songs right now and go clime the himalays with ikhyd on my back” before sharing a link to a new single called “Come Walk With Me”, which is expected to drop Tuesday next week.

The summery track was first teased way back in April 2012 – albeit in a remixed form — but the track hasn’t lost any of its lo-fi pop sheen in the intervening year and a half. “There is nothing that can touch me now, you can’t even break me now,” sings M.I.A. over plucked guitars and hand claps.

It’s easily her most commercial track since “Bad Girls” and makes the wait for Matangi even more agonizing. See her tweets and listen after the jump.
