Lady Gaga Reportedly Returning To ‘SNL’ As Musical Guest This Fall, Rumored To Host

Lady Gaga is slated to perform as the musical guest on an episode of Saturday Night Live this fall, according to TV Line. This would be her third time performing on the show, most recently in 2011 during an episode hosted by Justin Timberlake. The outlet adds that Gaga is rumored to be hosting the episode as well. And for what it’s worth, Gaga just tweeted about prepping another TV performance of “Applause.”

Mother Monster pulling double duty certainly isn’t out of the realm of possibility. For her prior SNL appearances, Gaga appeared in several sketches and digital shorts, and she has always stressed that she’s a theater person/entertainer more than a musician. Plus, in addition to ARTPOP‘s November 11 release, she could use the SNL stage to plug her acting gig in Machete Kills, which hits theaters October 11.

Food for thought. But keep in mind, the same hosting rumors were floating about Kanye West earlier this year, and he only served as musical guest.
