The nominations are in for this year’s Country Music Association Awards, and unsurprisingly, the queen of pop-country snagged the lead once again: The inimitable Taylor Swift. She’s already been crowned Entertainer of the Year twice, but she’s up for it again, as well as for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (for Red), plus three nominations for her Tim McGraw and Keith Urban collab “Highway Don’t Care.”

Also up for six awards? My personal favorite Kacey Musgraves, the rootsy alt-country-pop songbird who became a superstar in her genre this year with the release of her magnificent debut Same Trailer, Different ParkShe snagged nods for Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, while her single “Merry Go Round” was nominated for Single of the Year and Song of the Year. The icing on the cake? Miranda Lambert‘s single “Mama’s Broken Heart,” which Musgraves co-wrote, was also nominated for Song of the Year.

Blake Shelton was right behind with five nominations (none of them for putting up with eighteen seasons of The Voicesadly). The CMA Awards will be hosted once again by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley and will be broadcast live from Nashville on November 6 on ABC.
