Courtney Love Labels Katy Perry “Boring” But Approves Of Miley Cyrus’ “Hillbilly” Antics
Courtney Love isn’t known for keeping her opinions to herself, so it shouldn’t come as that big a surprise that she went on a rant about pop music’s hottest divas at a recent gig in New York. “I liked Miley,” she told the crowd. “I’m gonna be honest, Katy Perry bores the fuck out of me. She’s a nice girl, she just really bores me.”
She then referred to the 20-year-old’s iconic foam finger moment at the MTV video Music Awards, saying: “You know, that hillbilly Miley Cyrus is sort of punk in a weird sex way.” Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so fair enough.
But Courtney wasn’t finished. She then dialed up the New York Post and told a Page Six columnist: “[Katy] bores me. [Miley] was at least kind of punk rock, you know? It was openly sexual . . . like dark and hillbilly and fucked up.” So there you go.
