Nylo’s Twitter profile declares, “I make music that sounds like snow.” But while her sonics are equal parts feathery and frosty, there’s a warmth underneath it all, which comes from her expressions of vulnerability, bitterness or lust (for the latter, check out her “Blurred Lines” cover). The 23-year-old does most of her singing in a breezy upper register, and when paired with such woozy beats, the result is impossibly weightless and entrancing.
