Sky Ferreira Premieres “You’re Not The One” Via Music Video: Watch
One way to distract from your recent arrest for alleged drug possession is to release a stellar new song. That’s what Sky Ferreira has done today (September 24) with “You’re Not The One,” the lead single from her forthcoming debut album Night Time, My Time (out October 29). The track is a slick piece of nu-wave built on clean guitars and live drums, with Ferreira showcasing impressive vocal range. The whole thing is like Twin Shadow meets Sheryl Crow, which I realize sounds terrible but trust me it works.
The visual is heavy on lasers and leather, and was directed by Grant Singer, who also helmed Sky’s black-and-white “Everything Is Embarrassing” video. Watch it up top, and make sure you stick around for the twist ending.
