The Killers Premiere Video For ‘Shot At The Night’: Watch
The Killers are preparing to drop their greatest hits compilation Direct Hits on November 11th and took the time to return to their home base of Las Vegas and shoot a gorgeous video for the highly anticipated M83-produced “Shot At The Night,” one of two new songs to be featured on the album. The track itself is the pretty standard U2-arena-grandeur-indie-new-wave sound The Killers have banked their entire career on, but this time the gauzy melodrama is pumped up to 11 with the day-glo dance floor pop M83’s Anthony Gonzalez banked his entire career on.
For the video, lead singer Brandon Flowers pouts in a dimly lit Vegas penthouse while ingenue Bella Heathcote (Not Fade Away) toils as a lonely, bored housekeeper. Eventually she and a sharply dressed (and former Mark Zuckerberg antagonist) Max Minghella meet cute and paint the town red on a scooter (which seems WILDLY DANGEROUS on the Vegas strip), play roulette, sing some karaoke and french kiss as dawn breaks on Sin City.
