Pet Shop Boys offered up a bit of a Shanghai surprise to fans today via the music video for “Thursday.” The UK duo, who are currently trekking around North America on their Electric Tour, revealed that they shot the clip in Shanghai recently, and that remixes (by Tensnake and Eddie Amador) and two B-sides (“No More Ballads” and “Odd Man Out”) will accompany an official single release on November 4.

The Example-featuring track off the Boys’ 12th studio album Electric has proven to be both a fan and critical favorite, and it’s a song I noted in my review of the LP as “an instant Pet Shop Boys classic teeming with chiming bells and easily recognizable Chris Lowe synths (not to mention Tennant’s warm, trademark talk-singing). As a bonus, London rapper Example carves his name in the sturdy tree of PSB collaborators by serving up a fantastic rap before going one step further with a stab at the chorus.”
