Pitbull & Ke$ha Make It All Go Down In New Song “Timber”: Listen

Ah, the ongoing love affair between trash-pop songbird Ke$ha and jetsetting goon Pitbull has reached a new high (or low, depending on how you look at it): After collaborating way back in 2009 on “Girls” and, more recently, on a remix of K$’s excellent “Crazy Kids” that was the musical equivalent of a long, deep sigh of impotent frustration, Mr. Worldwide has roped in the pop princess for a new song about making things go down called “Timber.”

There’s a very catchy country-pop riff and Ke$ha’s chorus is nicely celebratory and Dr. Luke‘s production hits all the right marks, but as per usual with Pit, the effect is one of an artificial sweetener — it’s effective but ultimately kinda soulless. Also, is there seriously no joke about getting wood? C’mon, guys. We can do better.

Listen below.
