Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Taylor And Timberlake Lead 2013 American Music Awards Nominations

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis continue their domination this year, leading the field of 2013 American Music Awards nominees with six nods including Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Favorite Rap Artist and Favorite Rap Album. But, like, Yeezus and Born Sinner aren’t even nominated for Best Rap Album so what does any of this even mean, really?

The Seattle hip-hop duo edged out superstars Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, who each notched five nominations and are also up for Artist of the Year. That category is rounded out by Bruno Mars and Rihanna. RiRi, Robin Thicke and Florida Georgia Line scored four nominations apiece.

As of now, the only confirmed performers are Miley Cyrus (oooh boy, prepare your thinkpiece-ing caps) and Imagine Dragons. The AMAs are determined by fan voting and air November 24 on ABC. Check out the full list of nominees below.
