Lady Gaga Announces “Venus” As The Second Single From ‘ARTPOP’
The second single from Lady Gaga‘s much-anticipated ARTPOP opus will be “Venus”. Mother Monster promised to reveal her next single if fans got the title trending. After a few false starts (“Gypsy”, “Manicure” and “Donatella”), “Venus” gained momentum and the 27-year-old promptly crowned it the follow up to “Applause”.
There aren’t a lot of details about the track yet but it has a release date. Little Monsters can download it from October 27 — setting up another chart battle with Katy Perry (“Unconditionally” hits iTunes on October 22). Gaga also hashtagged the words “take me to your planet” and “take me to your venus”, which could be lyrics. See the pop icon’s tweet after the jump.
