Selena Gomez Drops Lorde’s “Royals” From Tour Setlist, Covers Katy Perry’s “Roar” Instead
Selena Gomez finally responded to Lorde‘s “anti-feminist” jibes last week but has gone a step further and dropped her cover of “Royals” from the Stars Dance tour setlist. For the American leg, the 21-year-old will tackle Katy Perry‘s “Roar” instead. Sweet revenge!
So what does the chart-topper sound like in Selena’s capable hands? Pretty good. The triple threat struggles a little at the beginning but it’s not an easy song to belt out as Katy herself proved at the MTV VMAs. The “Slow Down” diva eventually gets into the groove and sounds convincing. If nothing else it proves beyond a doubt that she sings live. Watch up top.
