John Newman’s ‘Love Me Again EP’: Listen
Fans of John Newman living in his home country of the UK are lucky enough to get their hands on the vocal powerhouse’s full debut LP Tribute this week. For those of us in the States, we’ll just have to wait a bit longer for an album release. Instead, iTunes now has Newman’s four-track Love Me Again EP available as a sort of musical appetizer. Included is the soulful title track, plus John’s current UK single “Cheating.” The third song, “Gold Dust,” is a rich gem lying in wait — one that melodically takes cues from Motown as well as the Bee Gees at their most tuneful. The EP is rounded out by the uplifting piano-and-choir-driven “All I Need Is You.”
